Third Annual Community In Action 5K Run/Walk 2004
The Third Annual Community In Action 5K Walk/Run was a huge success. $13,000.00 was raised for the Tri-Counties Make-A-Wish Foundation. Omar Lopez received a wish at the event. His wish was to have an X-box, TV and sound system. There were over 150 walkers and runners and 30 volunteers to make the event possible.
Local High Schools
Tom Meenzhuber, P.T. and Todd Martin, P.T. have volunteered their time for the Righetti High School athletes for 15 years. They provide on-the-field injury expertise for the football team, rehabilitation services for all athletes and screening for injuries at yearly physicals. Beginning in 2003, Jared Bailey, P.T. began providing athletes from Righetti and Santa Maria High Schools with injury assessment and rehabilitation. Since it's opening in 2004, Pioneer Valley High School athletes have received athletic training expertise from Hallie Stine, A.T.C. Hallie has also played an important part in assisting the patients at Santa Maria Valley Physical Therapy Group.
Santa Maria Valley Physical Therapy Group remains an active participant in the rehabilitation of student athletes at Righetti, Santa Maria and Pioneer Valley High Schools.
